PATLS 2018 LIS Enrichment Program

The Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science, Inc. (PATLS) shall be conducting its
LIS Enrichment Program
from June 17 to September 16, 2018 (13 Sundays) to be held at the 1st Floor, Lourdes J. Custodio ICD Room, Albertus Magnus Building, College of Education, University of Santo Tomas, Manila. 

The Enrichment Program will cover a total of thirteen Sundays: twelve for lectures, and one for the Program Audit. All sessions will be facilitated by respected professors of library and information science from different universities in the Philippines. 

The following topics will be covered:

1.  Principles, Concepts, History, Laws and Legislation, Code of Ethics, Practices, and Trends in LIS,
2.  Information Technology in LIS
3.  Library Organization and Management I: Principles and Concepts
4.  Library Organization and Management II-V: Different Types of Libraries
5.  Reference and Information Services
6.  Collection Management
7.  Indexing and Abstracting
8.  Descriptive Cataloging I: Principles, Concepts, and AACR2 for Print and Non-Print Materials
9.  Descriptive Cataloging II: RDA and MARC
10. Subject Cataloging and Classification
11. Principles of Archives and Records Management

The registration fee is Php 4,000.00. This rate is inclusive of the program kit, printed and online copies of the handouts, and Program Audit. 

Prepayment is preferred, otherwise, a non-refundable reservation fee of PhP 1,000.00 should be made to secure a slot.  Full payment of the balance, in cash, must be settled on or before the first day (June 17, 2018) of the LIS Enrichment Program.  

Only a maximum number of 100 participants will be accommodated.
